BRETTON WOODS ANNOUNCES ONLINE AUCTION TO BENEFIT 50 ORGANIZATIONS
BRETTON WOODS, NH (November 24, 2023) – As a prelude to Giving Tuesday next week and part of their 50th Anniversary celebration, Bretton Woods has announced the “Lift Up Our Community” online auction of 50 chairs from the original Bretton Woods “B-Lift,” which was retired in 2018 to make way for the Skyway Gondola. Bretton Woods and Omni Mount Washington Resort are hosting the online auction to benefit 50 local and regional organizations, with net proceeds going directly to selected beneficiaries.
Building upon Omni Hotels & Resorts’ “Say Goodnight to Hunger” initiative, the auction will benefit local food pantries in addition to local and regional ski teams, adaptive programs and outdoor organizations, plus the arts, animal welfare and historic societies among others. The participating organizations were nominated by an auction committee comprised of resort associates across multiple departments, and invitees were quick to embrace the opportunity.
“We recognize that our neighboring organizations don’t always get the funding they need,” says Craig Clemmer, Director of Sales & Marketing. “We hope that this helps in some way, while allowing ski enthusiasts the chance to own a sought after piece of Bretton Woods’ 50-year history.”
The auction continues throughout the season and closes on March 4, 2024. Net proceeds from each organization’s auction will be presented to the 50 recipients at a special reception before the end of the ski season.
