North Conway, NH – The weekend of January 3-5 2020 marks the Mt Washington Valley’s first LGBTQ Ski Weekend hosted by White Mountains Pride. All LGBTQ members, family, friends, and allies are invited to join in the fun in North Conway, recently voted among the top two ski towns in North America by USA Today’s 10Best. The skiing and riding at the area’s mountains of Cranmore, Attitash, and Wildcat have enjoyed great early season conditions. Pair the skiing with a stay and ski package offered by the Cranmore Inn (www.cranmoreinn.com) in North Conway.
“Pride LGBTQ Ski weekend offers our community the opportunity to show how welcoming we are and that the White Mountains are a great place for LGBTQ travelers to visit anytime of the year!” says Christopher Bellis, board member of White Mountains Pride, and co-owner of the Cranmore Inn along with his husband Eddie Bennet.
In celebration of the White Mountains Pride Ski Weekend, Settlers Green will offer $25 gift certificates to the first ten parties to book their Cranmore Inn stay and ski package. There will also be a DJ Dance party on Saturday January 4th at 9:00pm at McGrath’s Tavern featuring the talents of Boston native DJ Disco Dungeon for guests 21 and over. DJ Kramer, chair of White Mountains Pride, agrees that offering LGBTQ activities all year long is important to the organization’s mission. “We are thrilled by the success of Pride Week and the Festival last June, and by the community’s continued support. We look forward to the Ski Weekend becoming another great annual celebration for all who celebrate diversity and equality,” commented Kramer.
White Mountains Pride functions as a non-profit with the Mount Washington Valley Preservation Association acting as their fiscal agent.
