Cannon Mountain Extends Season

Cannon Mountain Extends Season through April 16

Special Spring Rates Go Into Effect April 3

March 29, 2017 – Franconia, NH – Cannon Mountain will remain open through Sunday, April 16, one week later than originally planned.

"With above average snowfall and great results from our newly upgraded snowmaking system, it was an easy choice to keep the good times rolling into mid-April," said John DeVivo, Cannon’s general manager. "We still have great coverage and with the potential for another winter storm this weekend, we feel that interest in skiing and snowboarding will remain strong into April," added DeVivo.

The mountain expects to be nearly 90% open for the first weekend in April, adding to the incentives to remain open longer. Additional snowfall from Friday evening’s storm could push the open trail list closer to 100%.

Cannon’s "Spring 2-For" rates will be offered beginning Monday, April 3 with lift tickets just 2-for-$75 or one-for-$49, daily through Sunday, April 16. The mountain’s New Hampshire Resident Wednesday deal will also still be offered on the season’s remaining Wednesdays, where residents with valid identification can get a lift ticket for just $25.

An annual rite of spring and a great spectator event, the Blizzard Splash Pond will be held Saturday, April 8 at 12:30. Participants try to make it across the pond for a chance to win big prizes from Blizzard Skis and Chutters Candy Shop. The event is limited to 50 participants with registration 8-11:30 at Guest Services.
