OVP Management gifts land to MWV Trails Association for Recreation Path

June 9, 2023 (North Conway, NH) – OVP Management Inc. recently gifted nearly one acre of commercial land on Hemlock Lane in North Conway to the Mt. Washington Valley Trails Association for it to be incorporated into the master project plan for the North Conway Recreation Path.

Over a decade in the making, the 2.9-mile North Conway Recreation Path Phase 1 is set to open in early summer. The multi-use trail will serve as a draw for the region, providing a place for outdoors lovers of all ages and abilities to walk, jog, bike and more.

“We are thrilled to have the support of Settlers Green, OVP Management, and Rob Barsamian throughout this project, but especially the recent donation of land at the Southern terminus of Phase 1 of the Rec Path project at Hemlock Lane,” said Chris Meier of MWV Trails Association. “This land will allow us to create an inviting and accessible public gateway to the Rec Path, with park areas and other amenities consistent with our vision to create a community gathering space focused on outdoor recreation.”

OVP Management Inc. is the developer of over 500,000 square feet of commercial properties in North Conway, including Settlers Green, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. With outdoor recreation tourism thriving over the last five years, Settlers Green continues to add outdoor brands that support outdoor initiatives including Merrell, Columbia Sportswear and REI Co-Op, which donated $20,000 to Phase 1 and additional $5,000 to the upcoming Phase 2 of the Recreation Path project.

“Settlers Green is proud to be a part of the community and we feel woven into the fabric of its livelihood,” said Marketing Director Laura Lemieux. “Since 1988, the developers have contributed more than $1 million to community projects and development, but this donation in particular is very special.”

To complement the experience of the nearby recreation path, Settlers Green is introducing a one-mile walking route at its property this summer. It will start and end at The Gazebo in the Courtyard. Learn more about the walk at settlersgreen.com.
