Mount Washington Observatory TO HOST AN OPEN HOUSE DURING THE February Vacation Week
North Conway, NH – February 16, 2017 – The Mount Washington Observatory will be offering a free, family-friendly Open House at its Weather Discovery Center on Thursday, February 23 from 5-7pm.
Guests will be invited to explore the exhibits, museum store and enjoy light refreshments while having the opportunity to meet President Sharon Schilling. At 6:00pm there will be a live video connection to the Observatory’s mountaintop weather station allowing visitors to meet observatory scientists Mike Carmon, Adam Gill and Caleb Meute and see what is happening on Mount Washington. Staff will be onsite to share information about Observatory events, educational outreach, research, membership and ways to become more involved with this legendary non-profit organization.
