Eshqua Bog and Showy Lady Slippers

Tuesday, June 21, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Eshqua Bog is a botanical wonderland and we will be visiting at the height of the showy lady slipper orchid bloom. The forty-acre property is owned by the Nature Conservancy of VT and the New England Wildflower Society. We will be walking on a recently installed accessible boardwalk. In addition to the showy lady slippers, we should see some northern bog and green orchids and possibly a few late yellow lady slippers. Bring your camera, binoculars, lunch and water.

Program fee: $10/member; $25/non-member.

Join the staff of Tin Mountain as we wander through the most northerly and perhaps the largest mountain-laurel population in NH. The shrubs should be at the height of bloom during this walk through an extraordinary forest community.
