Aerial Footage – White Mountains Fall Foliage 2016

The fall foliage season in the White Mountains has been spectacular this season.  Some experts predicted an accelerated, less than vibrant autumn due to the extremely dry summer experienced across the northeast.  While the rivers are certainly low, the colors in the forest did not disappoint.  In fact, it’s hard to remember a better season for consistency and color across the region.  The entire White Mountains seemed to bloom at once in glowing reds, yellows and oranges.  Beautiful days with rich autumn light and calm wind made it an especially enjoyable season in 2016.

This video is a montage of scenes taken on October 11-12, 2016.  It includes:

  • Mt Washington and the Presidential Range from Conway overlooking the Saco River
  • The Moat Mountains from North Conway
  • Albany Covered Bridge over the Swift River
  • Mt Chocorua
  • A fly-over above the forests of Tamworth, NH.
