Two-Day Busker Festival at Settlers Green

Music In The Air and Everywhere During Two-Day Busker Festival at Settlers Green

September 20, 2017 (North Conway, NH) – Settlers Green has signed local musicians to be a part of a two-day Busker Festival taking place at various locations around Settlers Green and Settlers Crossing on Saturday and Sunday of Columbus Day Weekend.

This is a new event for 2017 and segues into a week-long series of events taking place during Dancing in the Street from October 10-15 at the newly opened Settlers Green Streetside. The Busker Festival has been arranged by local musician, Ryan St. Onge, who put together a line-up that features 10 local artists with music ranging from washtub bass to ukuleles.

"We’ve utilized local musician Ryan St. Onge, who is lead singer and guitarist for Shark Martin, to come up with an original line-up of area talent to play unplugged ‘on the street corners’ of our stores," said Laura Tuveson, assistant director of marketing and events for Settlers Green. "The idea is to have music fill the air so shoppers can stop and enjoy the sounds, similar to what you might experience in a city at a subway stop or on a street corner."

Settlers Green incorporates music into many of its events including the Settlers Crossing Music Series, which just wrapped up its fourth summer season in August. In further support of local music and performing arts, Settlers Green has pledged to match up to $15,000 of all donations received by Mountain Top Music Center, in support of the organization’s $2.8 million goal for the renovation and revitalization of the Majestic Theatre in Conway. Look for donation jars during the Two-Day Busker Festival and during Dancing in the Street at the Settlers Green Customer Service Office.
