Come celebrate the autumn color at the Tin Mountain Fall Festival on Saturday, October 14 from 1 to 4 PM at the Nature Learning Center on Bald Hill Road in Albany, New Hampshire. Highlights of the day include apple cider pressing, natural dyeing workshops, storytelling presentations and guided fall foliage hikes. Learn about winter birds and bird feeding. There will be hours of fun with pumpkins to carve, apples to craft, and wooden tree cookies to decorate. Bring in your favorite apple or pumpkin dish and recipe by 2 PM to enter the day’s cooking contest. Awards given for judge’s favorite and people’s choice, prizes include a Tin Mountain fleece vest.
Scheduled fall foliage hikes run at 1:15, 2:15 and 3:15; and solar tours are at 2 and 3 PM.
The entry fee is $5 for members, $7 for non-members, and $10 for families. If you sign up in advance and seating is available your fall festival entry fee will admit you to the Black Bear Program with Ben Kilham at 7 PM. For more information call 603-447-6991.
