Poised for lots of snow and perfect week of skiing in Mt Washington Valley, NH

As we careen into the Christmas holiday and the busy week between Christmas and New Year’s we’re happy to report that Mt Washington Valley’s ski resorts and XC Centers are buzzing with great conditions and smiling skiers and riders. Snowmobilers have hit the trails, and our skating rinks and ski hills are abuzz with families. With the snow that’s predicted for this weekend and next week, we’ll be sitting pretty for some fabulous skiing and riding conditions for all those holiday revelers.

Here are the conditions as of today, Thursday, December 21, 2017.

AttitashOpen daily.27 trails (25 groomed), 5 lifts, 108 skiable acres. Base depth: 5"-15". Snowfall in last 7 days: 2". Season snowfall: 20". Patriots vs Bills in Ptarmigan Pub on 12/24, then enjoy live entertainment in Ptarmigan’s Pub after skiing for Christmas week.

Black Mountain -Re-opening Friday, Dec 22. Check snow report for up-to-date conditions. Mark the calendar for the Sam Adams Christmas Party on Dec. 23, 3:30-5:30pm and live entertainment in Lostbo Pub nightly during Christmas week.

Bretton Woods – Open daily. 48 trails/9 glades, 6 lifts, 303 skiable acres. Base depth: 26"?-36". Season snowfall: 42". Throughout Christmas Week enjoy both adult and kids’ Apres Ski Parties after a day of great skiing.

Cranmore Open daily! 18 trails, 4 lifts, 66 acres skiable terrain. Average base depth: 18"-22".Tubing & Mountain Adventure open this weekend and daily throughout Christmas Week, plus Cranapaloza and nightly live entertainment in Zips Pub Dec 27-30.

King Pine – Open daily. 9 trails (100% groomed), 3 lifts. Base depths: 10"-18". Season snowfall: 14". Tubing Park & Skating rink open this weekend.Powder Bear, King Pine Mascot, on hand 12/23 from 2-3pm. Military Appreciation Days this weekend, then night skiing, torchlight tubing and much more during Christmas Week. See schedule here.

Shawnee Peak -Open daily. 20 trails (18 groomed), 4 lifts. Base depth: 8"-16". Visit with Santa in the base lodge at 1pm on Sat, Dec 23.Winter Festival on Dec. 27.

WildcatOpen daily! 25 trails (16 groomed), 3 lifts, 190 skiable acres. Base depth: 10"-25". Snowfall in last 7 days: 6". Season snowfall: 38". Apres ski entertainment in the Wildcat Pub, 1:00-4:00pm including Pats vs Bills on 12/24. Live entertainment from 1:00-4:00pm in the pub throughout Christmas Week.

Mt Washington Valley’s XC and Snowshoe Centers

Bear Notch Ski Touring: Open and grooming on Waterfall trail, Experimental Forest Trails, Albany Brook trail, Upper Saco River Trail, Upper Meadow and Lower Fields. Powder conditions. 17" snowfall to date.

Bretton Woods Nordic Center: Open!27 trails (55km) open. 21 trails track set 36km), 21 trails skate groomed (39km). Base depth: 19"-26". Snowfall season to date: 42".

Great Glen Trails: Open daily. 45 km open; 16km tracked, 21km skate groomed. Average base depth: 6". New snow in past 7 days: 11". Season snowfall total: 30". Tubing hill open. Snowcoach Tours running. Call ahead to inquire about fat biking.

Jackson Ski Touring Foundation: 35 XC Trails open (88km)/8 backcountry trails.. 23 trails track set, 27 trails skate groomed. 18 snowshoe trails open. Base depth: 4"-8". 10" of new snowfall in the past 48 hours. Packed powder conditions. Snowfall season to date: 14.25".

Purity Spring XC and Snowshoe Preserve: Anticipated Dec 26th opening, weather permitting.

Mt Washington Valley Ski Touring & Snowshoe Foundation: 12 km open from Whitaker Woods to 1785 Inn. 12km skate groomed. 45km snowshoe trails. 2km fat biking trails on designated trails. Base depths: 2"-6".
