So much going on in one White Mountains region of New Hampshire

North Conway, NH – There’s certainly a packed holiday weekend calendar for one small region of New Hampshire. Long considered among the best regions for July 4thcelebrations, Mt Washington Valley’s 27 towns and villages put on a star-spangled show for Independence Day weekend. Those seeking plenty of fireworks, family fun, live entertainment, parades, food and games will find it as Mt Washington Valley’s businesses and towns bring out the red, white and blue banners for days on end to celebrate the unofficial start to the summer season.

Kick off the fireworks in Jackson Village on July 2

Jackson Village and the surrounding communities come together to celebrate Independence Dayas they light up the sky with a spectacular firework display Sunday, July 2nd starting at approximately 9:00pm. Come claim your spot in Jackson Village Park. J-Town Deli & Country store will be open during the festivities with delicious baked goodies and sparklers and more and for the kids and the Jackson Fire Department will be selling glow necklaces and T Shirts, and look for the Bartlett/Jackson Cub Scout Pack 321 selling ice-cream. Town of Gorham offers New Hampshire’s longest Independence Day celebration

Gorham rings in the holiday with New Hampshire’s longest 4th of July celebration, an event that spans four days over the July 4 weekend. The celebration promises hours of fun, food, and merriment, including parades, music, amusements, and a classic car show, topped off with a brilliant and memorable firework display. Independence Day parade and BBQ in Bartlett Village

Start your 4th of July celebrating in Bartlett Village. The Annual Hellen Hayes Memorial 4th of July Parade will take place at 11:00am down Main Street, Bartlett. Follow up with a 4th of July Bar-B-Q and live music getting underway at noon.

July 4thParades, Music and Fireworks in North Conway Village

Look forward to a quintessential New England village celebration as the Town of Conway kicks off Independence Day festivities on Tuesday, July 4th with an afternoon parade scheduled tentatively for 1:30pm, followed by the playing of the National Anthem in Schouler Park. Reserve your space in the park with a blanket and a picnic. Later in the evening Motor Booty Affair will take to the stage in Schouler Park followed by a brilliant display of fireworks scheduled for approximately 9:30pm. The rain date for fireworks is July 5th at 9:30pm. To help ease traffic, on the 4th of July only, ride the Fireworks Express train from Conway. The Conway Scenic Railroad will provide round-trip train transportation from its terminal in Conway to the station in North Conway Village for those who’d like to combine a historic train ride with the day’s events. The 80-passenger Budd car will pick up passengers in Conway at 6:00 and 7:00pm and will return to Conway at approximately 10:15 p.m., following the fireworks. 4th of July family fun and BBQ at Cranmore Mountain Resort, North Conway, NH

Cranmore Mountain Resort’s base area will be transformed into an All-American backyard barbeque with live music, a Tuckerman Brewing tasting, lawn games, burgers and dogs on the grill, and some all-American friendly competition. Several family-style competitions like Water balloon toss, potato sack race and fill the bucket will take place throughout the day with prizes for the winners. Plus, they’ll bring yard and board games to life with Corn Hole, BIG Jenga, Bubble blowing, Connect Four, Yardzee (Yard Yahtzee) and a scavenger going on too. Admission is free (food and beverage is extra) and the party runs from 11:00am – 5:00pm. Star Spangled Spectacular at Bretton Woods, NH

July 4th promises to be a packed day for families at the Bretton Woods Ski Area and Adventure Center. Gates open at 5:00pm so be sure to arrive early to find the perfect viewing spot.The White Mountain Regional High School Jr. ROTC will be collecting a donation of $5 per car which will go towards funding the program. From 5:00-9:15pm, look for fun and games behind the base lodge including a bouncy house, lawn games, face painting, and balloon twisting with Maryanne the Magnificent. Plan to grab dinner at the annual country-style BBQ featuring all-American favorites from corn on the cob to burgers (purchase food a la carte). From 6:00-9:30pm, The Crunchy Western Boys, acoustic duo, will perform toe- tapping tunes (intermission from 7:15pm – 8:00pm), then the highlight of the night begins around 9:30pm with a fireworks extravaganza.
