Believe in Books Literacy Foundation presents #GivingTuesday

Local literacy foundation fundraiser for their growing Bookbag Program to get more books to local children

INTERVALE, NH – You have heard of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and of course, Cyber Monday, but have you heard of #GivingTuesday? The Tuesday after Thanksgiving, November 27th, is a global day of giving fueled by social media and a collaboration known as #GivingTuesday. Believe in Books Literacy Foundation is participating in #GivingTuesday to collect sponsorships for their Bookbag Program.

The BIBLF Bookbag Program is a free educational program that is currently being provided to 22 regional preschools. The waiting list for this program is growing and the Literacy Foundation would like to expand for the 2019-2020 academic school year. The Literacy Foundation is looking to add 200 bookbags, that will each contain 10 books, into the rotation of North Country preschools. To complete this task, BIBLF is asking for donors to sponsor a bookbag or two. Each bookbag is valued at $60.00 with the sponsorships lasting 5 years. Give the gift of literacy this holiday season and sponsor a bookbag to promote reading for our local youngsters.

This event is one of many that the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation has created to help support literacy initiatives. The Believe in Books Literacy Foundation is a Charitable 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit guided by the needs and involvement of the communities of which it serves, with a mission to advance healthy development of young minds through literacy programs that encourage early reading, imagination, and physical activity. Visit believeinbooks.org to sponsor a new bookbag today!
