With up to 16″ of snowfall so far, MW Valley ski resorts & XC Ctrs welcome back winter

Here are the snow reports from today, March 8, 2018, at Mt Washington Valley’s ski resorts:

Attitash – 65 trails, 46 groomed runs, Abenaki Park open, 245 acres skiable terrain. 6 lifts. Base depth: 18″-24″. 12″ of new snow in the past 24 hours & it’s still snowing. 93″ of snow this season. Live entertainment in at Bear Peak & Ptarmigan Pub over the weekend. Ability-Plus Ski-a-thon and Shawn Smith family GS fundraiser on Sat. Black Mountain – 40 trails,25 groomed runs. 2 lifts, more running this weekend. Base depths: 12″-36″. 11″ of snowfall in the past 24 hours with more falling throughout the day. Find live entertainment in Lostbo Pub Friday through Sunday.

Bretton Woods – 52 trails, 307 skiable acres.7 lifts. Base depth: 30″- 40″. 3″ to 8″ of snowfall in the past 24 hours & still snowing. 147″ of snowfall this season. Enjoy both adult and kids’ Apres Ski Parties after a day of great skiing.

Cranmore– 39 trails, 37 groomed,148 skiable acres. 4 lifts. Terrain parks open. Base: 16″-29″. 12″ of new snowfall in the past 24 hours as of 6am. Tubing & Mountain Adventure Park open Fri – Sun. Cranapalooza festivities and apres ski in Zips Pub on Saturday. Hannes Schneider Meister Cup and festivities this weekend plus Military Appreciation Weekend.

King Pine – 100% open. 17 trails, 15 groomed. 50 skiable acres, 5 lifts. Base depth: 12″-30″. 9″ of new snow in the past 24 hours with more falling today. 83″ of snow this season. The tubing park open for regular hours. Apres ski entertainment in Trails End Pub witj RadioBDC Coors Light Drafters on Sat plus 18th Annual Marky B Boardfest on Sun.

Shawnee Peak -34 trails open (30 groomed), 3 terrain parks open. 4 lifts. Base depth: 24″-34″. 14″ of new snow in the past 24 hours & still falling. Friday is New England Ski Day – special offers for New England skiers with license. # 2 Winter Kids Day on Fri & Mary’s Firemen for a Cure festivities on Sat.

Wildcat 46 trails (19 groomed) and279 skiable terrain. 4 lifts operating. Base depths: 20″-40″. 16″ of new snow in the past 24 hours as of 10am and 5″+ more expected. 131″ of snowfall this season. Conditions at Mt Washington Valley’s XC and Snowshoe Centers

Bear Notch Ski Touring – 45km trails open, 45km classic, 45km skating. Base depths: 19″-28″. 13″ of new snowfall in the past 24 hours.Western Trail Network and Village Loop are freshly groomed.

Bretton Woods Nordic Center– 17 trails (34km) open. 6 trails track set, 17 trails skate groomed. Base depth: 1″-6″. 3-8″ new snow in the past 24 hours. Snow continues throughout the day. Thursdays through March 15th The Nordic Center helps host WRENegades. WRENegades, an outdoor, activity-based, social group organized by the regional non-profit organization WREN.

Great Glen Trails– 45km open. 15km tracked, 15km skate groomed. Average base depth: 8″-18″. 12″ new snow in the past 24 hours & still snowing hard. Season snowfall total: 119″. SnowCoach Tours operating on Thurs, weather dependent for the weekend. Call ahead to inquire about SnowCoach and fat biking. Tubing Hill closed on Thurs. Winter Charity Day on Sat. Info here.

Jackson Ski Touring Foundation – 50 trails/126km open, 35 trails track set, 36 trails skate groomed. 11 back country trails open. 18 snowshoe trails open. Base depth: 6″-26″. 11″ of snowfall in the past 24 hours & still snowing. Snowfall season to date: 79.5″. Baxter Outdoors White Mountain Winter Triathlon & 5K Snowshoe Run on March 17.

Purity Spring XC and Snowshoe Preserve – Nordic trails are open with approximately a variable base, up to 10″. Trails are ungroomed; grooming will resume with the new snow. Any trail that is on the lake is “pass at your own risk”, this includes the Lake Trail, Narrows Trail and Lodge Connector lake crossing. Snowshoe tour at 2:00pm, on Sat, weather dependent.

Mt Washington Valley Ski Touring & Snowshoe Foundation – 15km open in Whitaker Woods and Intervale Networks to Stonehurst. 15km skate groomed. 45km snowshoe trails. 2km fat biking trails on designated trails. Base depths: 4″-16″. 12″ of new snow in the past 24 hours with more coming. Guided Snowshoe Walk every Saturday at 1:00 pm and the new Sunday Yoga tours at 10:00am.
