Tons of groomed + natural bumps and steeps for Vacation Week in Mt Washington Valley

Greetings from sunny Mt Washington Valley, NH!

We’re psyched as can be as we head into the Valentine’s Day Weekend and President’s Week vacation period with primo conditions. We received light snowfall consistently throughout the past week at Mt Washington Valley’s 13 ski resorts and XC Centers. There’s plenty of groomed corduroy along with natural terrain offering steeps and bumps for adventure seekers. The snowmobile trails are in great shape too. Throughout the Valley you’ll find great places to safely snuggle and social distance at the same time this Valentine’s Day weekend and throughout the season. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy some time outdoors in Mt Washington Valley this week.

ALPINE SKI RESORTS – SNOW REPORT FOR THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2021

Attitash – Offering continued expanded terrain & 91% open with 62 trails (mostly all groomed) accessed by 4 lifts. 32” average depth. 2” of new snowfall in the past 48 hours, 6” in the past 7 days. 47” snowfall this season. More ropes dropped this week on natural terrain.

Black Mountain – A beautiful, sunny day with 38 trails open, 20 groomed served by 4 lifts, Ungroomed trails left natural, so beware of rocks & thin spots. 15”-24” base depth. 2” of new snow in the last 72 hours, 20” in the past 8 days.

Bretton Woods – Now 100% open with 63 groomed trails and 35 glades for 477 skiable acres. 6 lifts open today, including the new gondola. Base depths: 18-36”. 11-12” new snow in the past 7 days. 90” natural snowfall to date this season.

Cranmore – Open with expanded terrain and 41 trails (93% groomed) and 3 glades + 2 terrain parks. 137 acres of skiable terrain. 3 lifts spinning today. Base depth: 17” – 21”. 1” of snowfall in the past 48 hours, 6” in the past 7 days. Season total snowfall: 35”. Tubing park open on weekends and throughout President’s vacation week. Expanded night skiing hours this weekend and during vacation week.

King Pine – 10 trails, 59% groomed & 1 terrain park served by 4 lifts. Anticipating back side trails open and all lifts running by Saturday once maintenance on Black Bear lift is complete by the weekend. Base depths: 18”-30”. 6” of new snow reported in the past 7 days. Season total snowfall: 41”. The Tohko Dome Ice Skating rink is now open daily. Tubing Park is open Fridays 3-6 p.m. and Weekends/Holiday Weeks 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Shawnee Peak – Open with 36 trails (49% groomed) & 2 terrain park, served by 4 lifts (Friday Sunnyside Triple starts running). Average base depth: 34”. 2” of new snow in the past 2 days, 3” in the past 5 days. Mon-Thurs, mountain opens at 11am. Fri at 9am & Sat-Sunday at 8:30am.

Wildcat – Open with expanded terrain on 100% of skiable terrain, skiing and riding on 48 trails today – groomed & ungroomed steeps and bumps, with 3 lifts operating and access for all ability levels. 36” average base depth. 2” of new snow in the past 48 hours, 5” snowfall in the past 7 days for 82” of snowfall this season.

XC CENTERS – TRAIL CONDITIONS FOR THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2021

Bear Notch Ski Touring – Now open with 40 km of skiing on 17 trails. 12”-16” base. Western Trail Network freshly groomed, all trails recently groomed. 1” of new snowfall in the past 48 hours. Trail network is open for Season Pass Holders, plus, an additional 75 day pass holders (by reservation only).

Bretton Woods Nordic Center –39 trails (70.5 km) open today, 38 trails/69 km skate groomed and 30 trails/46 km track set. Base depth 4”-8”. 11-12” new snow in the past 7 days. 90” natural snowfall to date this season. Tubing hill open weekends.

Great Glen Trails Open with 45 km trails open, with 17km tracked and 17km skate groomed. 45km of snowshoe trails open. Average depth: 20”. 7” of snowfall in the past 7 days. 69.5” of snowfall to date. Snowcoach tours are operating, fat biking trails open, double lane tubing hill open.

Jackson Ski Touring Foundation – Open with 97km open on 31 trails. 55km groomed and 50km track set. Total of 55K+ groomed for today; 1” of new snow in the past 2 days, 5” in the past 5 days. Base depth: 4”-10”.

Purity Spring XC and Snowshoe Preserve – 16 km groomed trails, 20 km snowshoe trails, additional grooming regularly. Base depths: 12” to 18”. 6” of new snow in the past 7 days have translated to a decent natural base & nice conditions.

Mt Washington Valley Ski Touring & Snowshoe Foundation – 45KM open in Whitaker Woods & Intervale networks. 45km single tracked and 45km skate groomed. 45 km snowshoe trails open. 2km of fat bike trails available in Whitaker Woods. Base depth: 8”-10”. 3” of new snow in the past 5 days. Reserve spots for guided snowshoe tours on Saturdays and Snowshoe Yoga on Sundays.
