Tin Mountain Conservation Center helps build a lasting affinity for the outdoors and imparts the knowledge that everyone plays an integral part of nature. It has been incorporated as a 503 (c) 3 environmental education non-profit for 39 years and annually serves over 70 community nature programs, provides environmental education to over 6,000 school children, manages over 1600 acres, offers internships, college scholarships and summer camps.

“The natural world is inspiring regardless of how old you are! I truly believe that the benefits of environmental education transcend age. Interest in learning, exploring new places, and spending time out of doors is beneficial for all ages, from babies to retirees. Recognizing returning warblers and identifying wildflowers each spring keeps our minds sharp. Canoeing on Lake Umbagog keeps us fit. Hiking a woods trail or rock hopping through a stream at summer camp helps develop coordination.” Lori Jean Kinsey, Executive Director quotes from Tin Mountain’s recent Annual report.
