North Conway Library presents: “Ski the Whites- Adventures in Backcountry Skiing”

With Andrea Drummond on February 20 at 7 pm

The North Conway Public Library invites you to the first of its Speaker Series 2020 featuring Andrew Drummond of Ski The Whites. Drummond will share stories and photographs of his backcountry ski adventures on Thursday night, February 20, at 7 p.m. at the Obs-Weather Discovery Center on Main Street in North Conway Village.

Drummond grew up in the White Mountains but it wasn’t until he moved back to the Mount Washington Valley that he discovered how good the backcountry skiing is in this region. Starting off in Tuckerman Ravine, he slowly ticked off all the classics and began looking for skiable terrain elsewhere in the Whites. As it turns out, there’s a lifetime of skiing to be found off the beaten path if you’re willing to put in the work.

The program is held at the Weather Discovery Center across from the Eastern Slope Inn Resort while the Library’s future community room is still under construction. No reservations necessary. There will be time after the presentation for questions and discussion. Homemade cookies will be served and coffee is generously provided by Frontside Coffee Roasters in North Conway.

The program is free of charge, although donations to the Library are greatly appreciated.
