NEW LOCALLY OWNED COFFEE SHOP, SPA & NAIL SALON JOIN SETTLERS GREEN COMMUNITY

North Conway – Settlers Green, Northern New Hampshire’s largest shopping complex and recognized regional outlet mall, recently celebrated the opening of Streetside, a complex of ten new outlet stores and a restaurant. Once again, it continues to grow with two exciting new additions adding to the “shoptainment” that sets this mall apart. Alongside public artworks, photo opps and playscapes, shoppers will now find The SoakingPot Infusion Spa (sm), a place to soak, sip and relax. Next door, look forward to The Met at Settlers Green; an extension of the popular Met Coffeehouse in North Conway Village. Both new stores will be located in the H building, between the original Settlers Green Outlet Village and Streetside stores. In addition, Katie’s Nails, a nail and acrylics salon, will soon open in Settlers Crossing.

While the focus at the mall is clearly on national brands, Settlers Green developers, led by Rob Barsamian, President of OVP Management, Inc. the developer and management company for all Settlers properties, is committed to investing in the local community, and its businesses, residents and contractors. To every extent possible, the new Streetside complex utilized local labor, local products, and locally milled wood in its construction. Artwork created by local and regional artisans adds a surprise of originality for shoppers. Many of the Settlers Green restaurants – including The Cupcakery, Wicked Fresh Burgers and the new Barley & Salt – are locally owned and operated. The Met at Settlers Green and The SoakingPot will soon take their place among an impressive list of indigenous businesses calling Settlers Green home.

The SoakingPot Infusion Spa brings a unique twist to the shopping experience in a setting that is casual, comfortable, and inviting. All services start with a soothing custom foot soak, using an infusion of the best herbs, florals, and essential oils. In addition, shoppers and guests can simultaneously enjoy a massage while they sit back and relax with a soothing cup of tea or other delicious treats in this tea-house-meets-spa concept. Whether it’s a quick moment of R&R or a diversion for the non-shopper in the crowd, the SoakingPot offers a nice addition to the shopping accoutrements found at Settlers Green.

“Settlers Green is a great central location for us,” said Laurie Banks, SoakingPot owner. We are so excited to offer shoppers, tourists and our community a place to catch their breath and just be for a moment,” she added. The spa is scheduled to open sometime around Mid-December.

The Met Coffee House has been a destination in downtown North Conway, for more than fifteen years. After three-years of owning the MET, Larry and Diane Flaherty are pleased to be expanding and opening a second cafe and coffee house in Settlers Green. Look for the same comfortable vibe and friendly service that is the hallmark of their North Conway location. The menu will feature many of the same fresh breakfast sandwiches, soups, salads and sandwiches on top of a wide selection of coffee, espresso and lattes that The Met customers in North Conway love. Art from local artists such as the Mount Washington Valley Art Association, White Mountain Photography, C&N Photography and other local artists will be displayed on the walls.

“The new location will be called “The Met at Settlers Green” and we are very excited to be part of the vibrant Settlers Green shopping complex,” said Larry Flaherty, co-owner. “We believe that being positioned between the original Settlers Green Outlet Village and the new Settlers Green Streetside shopping area is the ideal location to offer shoppers a coffee oasis amidst their shopping adventure,” finished Flaherty. A late January 2018 opening is anticipated.

In addition, Katie’s Nails will join the Settlers Crossing community of stores soon. Another locally-owned business, customers can look forward to manicures, pedicures and acrylic nail services offered here by North Conway resident, Katie Nguyen. A grand opening is being planned once all inspections have been completed.
