NEW ENGLAND BRASS TO PERFORM IN LOCAL SCHOOLS

NORTH CONWAY — Art Jubilee will be presenting the annual “Music in the Schools” program in partnership with the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire this Thursday and Friday, April 5th and 6th in elementary schools throughout the greater Mt. Washington Valley. This year’s participating schools include Brownfield-Denmark, Freedom, Josiah Bartlett, Madison, New Suncook, and Pine Tree.

Each year, Arts Jubilee brings a performer or performing group to area schools to offer an enriching experience for students. The Arts Jubilee Board of Directors considers it both an honor and a responsibility to provide this cultural exposure for our local kids. This year’s performance will be by the New England Brass. Known as one of the finest performing brass chamber groups in the country, New England Brass has been performing for over three decades. In addition to adult programming, the group has been entertaining and educating over 20,000 school children a year throughout New England. Their presentation blends comedy, classics, and familiar melodies in addition to an informative presentation to create an exhilarating experience for the listener.

The two-day residency will culminate with a public performance by the New England Brass in Loynd Auditorium at Kennett High School on Friday, April 6th at 6:30 pm. Tickets for the performance, coordinated by the Arts Alliance, are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and $20 for families. Discounted tickets are available if you pre-order online at www.aannh.org ($3 for students, $8 for adults, and $15 for families).

As a non-profit organization, Arts Jubilee counts on the generosity of corporate sponsors, grantors, and private donors in order to present Music in the Schools each year, as well as their annual summer concert series at Cranmore Mountain Resort. Arts Jubilee would like to thank the Kiwanis Club of Mt. Washington Valley, Memorial Hospital, and the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort for making this year’s Music in the Schools program possible.
