Nature Program: FROGS of NH 5.21.2020 @ 7:00pm
Frogs of New Hampshire
Thursday, May 21, 7pm
For you ‘Naturevores,’ FROGS have been in the ‘news’ lately, perhaps in your ‘Backyard Column!’ Their vociferous calls highlight the twilight hours, ranging from the prolific spring peeper to the rare, snoring Leopard Frog as we recently learned in the Trivia column. Join Master Naturalist and Tin Mountain’s Research Director Rick Van de Poll for an introduction to the frogs of New Hampshire. How many species are there? Who’s making which calls? When do they breed and how? How can you best identify egg masses? What can you do to encourage their presence in your backyard? All of these questions (and more!) will be addressed during this Zoom session on the Ranids of our region. Join us!
