Feb 17: Kitty Cat’s Apres Ski Entertainment: Parents, enjoy good times with adults in the pub while children have fun in the Lions Den located on the ground floor of the Wildcat Base Lodge.
Cost is $5.00 per child and includes supervision, children’s movie, cookie decorating and arts & crafts.

Feb 17: Torchlight Parade: Ski Patrol and Ski School will journey down the hill just after dusk to form the Torchlight Parade. This is a great event that brings families and friends together on the ski mountain. 5:30-6:00pm.

Feb 20: Kitty Litter Cardboard Box Race: A fun, free, February Vacation tradition for kids. Build your own “vessel” out of cardboard boxes and go for the fastest run of the day, best decorated, best crash or judges’ choice awarded prizes. All vessels will be inspected to make sure they fit the standards prior to racing. Decorating is encouraged. Pre-registration Required: Guest Services 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Feb 21: 9 Lives Lunch Tray Luge: Another February Vacation Tradition. Race down the luge track on lunch trays! Free. Noon-1:00pm.

Feb 24: Crazy Hat Day: Dig deep into your closets and imagination to find the craziest, weirdest, wackiest, funniest, hat. Meet on the front lawn at 2 p.m. where the winner will take home the Grand Prize.

Try a new brew at Slopeside Pub located on the 3rd level of the Bretton Woods Base Lodge. Entertainment will be from 3:00pm-5:30pm and Bar Promos are from 3:00pm-5:00pm.

Feb 17, 18, 19, 20, 21: Kids Apres Ski Party: 3:30-5:00pm: Kids ages 4-12 are welcome to join in this special supervised après ski fun upstairs in the Mount Washington View Room, located on the Heaven Level of the Bretton Woods Base Lodge. Special après parties are scheduled on most Saturday’s throughout the year and during vacation and holiday periods. Each party will include live entertainment, games, activities, and refreshments for kids. Feb 17, 24: Horse Drawn Sleighrides, 11am – 1:00pm: Enjoy the classic experience of riding among surrounding fields and within wooded trails in a horse-driven sleigh. Feb 18: Winter Trails Nordic Demo Day with EMS: King Pine is celebrating Winter Trail’s with EMS throughout this season by offering complimentary Nordic passes to first-timers. In addition, EMS will have demo cross country skis and snowshoes available for on snow clinics with the EMS crew from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. First timers, ages 12 and above, are invited to join EMS for on snow clinics at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sign up in advance at the EMS tent on the day of and receive a complimentary trail pass with your clinic. There is limited availability for the clinics which will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Feb 20: Live Stand Up Comedy with Bob Marley: Don’t miss this live show by Maine’s famous and well-loved comedian Bob Marley in the Shawnee Peak Great Room. The show begins at 7.30pm, tickets are available currently through Guest Services or online for $30.This is a fundraising event for Shawnee Peak’s Adaptive program! There will be a cash bar in the Great Room during the event.

Feb 22: Family Fun Day: Family Day is a kid-oriented day on the slopes. All events are free and open to the public. In honor of Shawnee Peak’s 80th birthday, 80 years of memories is the theme! There is a costume contest for both young and old, Face Painting and arts and crafts in the Great Room, a scavenger hunt on the Mountain and around the base lodge, Family obstacle race, Skillet toss, Sack Race, Snow Volley Ball and Tug of war, BBQ, crafts and so much more. Dress up and join in the parade. Prizes will be awarded, and fun is a guarantee!

Feb 23: Ride & Ski apres ski party: Join the Ride & Ski Card friends at Blizzard’s Pub after a great day of skiing.

Feb 24 Ski with Spring Luau, Sam Adams & Fireworks: End the vacation week with a cold Sam Adams in Blizzards Pub, along with a Spring luau and fireworks kicking off at 8:00pm.

Feb 25: Russ Haggett Memorial Race: Russ Haggett, a 2003 inductee to the Ski Maine Hall of Fame, was Pleasant Mountain’s general manager throughout the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. Haggett’s vision and ambition made Pleasant Mountain into a true winter destination, thus improving the Lakes Region winter economy forever. The Russ Haggett Memorial Race is a family-fun race, for Skiers and Snowboarders of all ages and ability, and a great opportunity for beginners to experience downhill ski racing. Great Glen Trails/MW Auto Road, Pinkham Notch, NH

Feb 18: Sunrise Snowcoach Tour: Experienced SnowCoach drivers will take you to treeline (weather permitting) at 4,200 feet on the Mt. Washington Auto Road for a chance to watch the sun rise. Plan to leave promptly at 5:45am from the base lodge. Feb 17: 8th Annual Whitaker Woods Snowshoe Scramble: This Snowshoe Scramble is a 4-mile snowshoe race on groomed trails and twisty singletrack winding through Whitaker Woods in North Conway Village. Registration is $20 per person and may be done online or at the event from 8:30 – 9:30 am. Race start is 10 am sharp! $200 in prizes to giveaway. Lodging discounts available. Feb 25: 29th Annual Chocolate Festival: Known by many as the ‘Sweetest Day on the Trails", this may be the only day of the year when chocolate indulgence is totally guilt-free, 11:00am – 4:00pm! Chocoholics cross country ski or snowshoe the trails to enjoy chocolate prepared every way imaginable. Chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate fountains and fondue, brownie sundaes, and chocolate cookies of all kinds are just some of the treats you’ll enjoy at the trailside stops between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
