Pinkham Notch, NH – Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center is offering a 2-day outdoor activities day camp in mid-August for kids entering sixth through eighth grades this fall. The camp will take advantage of Great Glen’s scenic trail system, mountain bike rentals and paddling program, and will be led by longtime Great Glen Ski and Outdoor Program Instructor, Sue Wemyss.
The camp will meet for all activities at Great Glen on Thursday and Friday, August 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day. Thursday’s activities will consist of guided kayaking on the scenic Androscoggin River and mountain biking on the Great Glen trail network. Day two will offer an exciting hiking trip in Pinkham Notch with swimming opportunities mixed in.
The camp is limited to just ten participants and pre-registration by August 20th is suggested. Cost for both days is just $99.00 and includes a rental bike and helmet (if needed), all paddling equipment including life vests and river shoes, as well as transportation from Great Glen Trails to the Androscoggin River. Participants should bring their own lunch and snacks each day.
