GoNorth Snofest takes place March 6-7

STEWARTSTOWN, N.H. (January 17, 2020) – With the holiday hangover in full effect, there’s never been a better time to Head North to check out the GoNorth Snofest.

With thousands of miles of smooth wide trails winding through the deep evergreen forests, GoNorth Snofest is a celebration of the region’s winter culture and marks the finale to the region’s epic snowmobiling season.

GoNorth Snofest, formerly known as the SnoDeo, takes place from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Mar. 6 – 7 at Coleman State Park, Coleman Lodges and the Swift Diamond Riders clubhouse. This North Country tradition offers a true taste of Northern New Hampshire’s culture, which includes motorized and non-motorized activities, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a new attraction this season – the Spirits of the North Country, a beer and wine tasting event. Food will be available at all three locations.

North Country Chamber of Commerce and four local snowmobile clubs; Swift Diamond Riders, the Canaan Border Riders, Colebrook Ski-Bees and Pittsburg Ridge Runners host the epic two-day affair that includes:

• Coleman State Park will host the motorized segment of the event. Snowmobile manufacturers will have 2021 models on display. With the purchase of a daily $10 demo pass, attendees will able to test drive as many machines as they would like.

• The Swift Diamond Riders will host a groomer rodeo, sponsored by Kevin Lassonde Construction, at their clubhouse. The groomer rodeo will allow club groomer operators, trail masters, members and visitors to check out the newest grooming equipment that is available.

• The Coleman Lodges property will host the new Spirits of the North Country beer and wine tasting event along with the human-powered activities and events. Activities planned are snowshoeing, fat tire biking and winter survival techniques.

Admission to the event is free and daily snowmobile demo passes will be on sale for $10 that allows riders to take as many test drives as they would like. A shuttle service will be available to attendees to allow for travel between locations.

There is something for every age. The State of New Hampshire is also offering a free-riding weekend from Mar. 6 – 8. So, it is the perfect weekend to come north and enjoy all the activities the area has to offer.”

Trailside support services in the North Country include dealerships, rental sled availability, many very enjoyable casual restaurants and taverns like the famous Buck Rub Pub, and a few excellent fine dining establishments such as the Rainbow Grille and Parsons Street.
