Cranmore Enters Spring in Full Force

Snowmaking is Back

Despite unseasonably warm temperatures in the past week, winter weather has returned to the Mt. Washington Valley and Cranmore Mountain has fired up the snow guns again.

The resort made snow on Saturday and Sunday of this past weekend and will be able to make snow on a need-to basis throughout the rest of the winter. Cranmore plans to remain open until the final day of the season, Sunday, March 26 and maintain as much terrain as possible.

Season Passes & Springtime Deals

For skiers who spend a lot of time at North Conway’s mountain of choice, the Cranmore Happy Trails pass provides a full season of winter fun starting as low as $249 for juniors. New Happy Trails passholders can ski free for the month of March.

Cranmore has teamed up with Bretton Woods, Cannon Mountain and Waterville Valley to offer the best value in New Hampshire with the White Mountain Superpass. This pass offers unlimited skiing and riding for all ages at some of the most prominent ski resorts in the White Mountains. The Superpass starts at $469 for juniors. Guests who purchase a Superpass by April 15 will also receive a free 2017-2018 lift ticket to Cranmore.

Bretton Woods, Cannon, Waterville Valley and Cranmore also offer the College Superpass, which grants access to unlimited skiing and riding on 255 trails, 37 lifts, 1,061 acres and 13 terrain parks, making it the college season pass with the most skiing in New Hampshire.

To qualify for the College Superpass, students must show a current student ID plus proof of full-time enrollment, with a letter from the registrar’s office or with a current college schedule print out. The College Superpass is currently on sale for $299, now through May 31. Students who purchase a College Superpass by April 15 will also receive a free 2017-2018 lift ticket to Cranmore.

The Sun N Snow Pass features skiing at Cranmore and Bretton Woods. At only $519 through May 31, the pass is valid Sunday through Friday with holiday blackout dates: 12/25/17-1/1/18, 1/13/18-1/14/18, 2/17/18-2/24/18.

All season passes can be purchased online at www.cranmore.com, by calling 1-800-SUN-N-SKI or visiting the ticket office during operating hours.

On March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day, Cranmore will offer $17 lift tickets for all ages. Tickets are available online at Cranmore.com only and must be purchased in advance the night before.

Cranmore’s March 3-Pack is on sale for $109. The March 3-Pack includes three non-transferable lift tickets valid any day this March. The 3-Pack is available online at Cranmore.com or at the ticket office.

Spring Events

A spring time favorite, the 21st Annual Hannes Schneider Meister Cup Weekend will take place March 10 through March 12.

The event kicks off Friday night with an EMS sponsored Randonee Night Tour where skiers can skin up and down the mountain guided by their headlamps, a Tyrolean themed dinner and torchlight parade. Saturday, the celebration of ski school founder Hannes Schneider’s arrival at the mountain continues with a dual giant slalom race, ice carving demonstration, silent auction, vintage skiwear contest, après entertainment, prizes, music and more. Teams and single racers are encouraged to register in advance at Cranmore.com.

On March 18, Cranmore will host the Sam Adams 3D Air & Après Show Tour. This event is set to combine high flying action and world class ski and snowboard athletes, such as 2010 Olympic bronze medalist Scotty Lago, to create an après ski show for all ages. Guests can also enjoy live music and a variety of Sam Adams beers at Zip’s Pub.

The show will start at 7:30pm on Cranmore’s North Slope and includes entertainment before and after the event. This event is appropriate for all ages and is free to attend. Guests must be over 21 to sample beer or to access the after party.

Cranmore will celebrate the end of the 2016-2017 season at the resort’s annual Spring Splash. Guests can skim across the man-made pool at the base of the North Slope. Contestants will be judged based on costumes and the splash created. The event will also feature live music from White Steer outdoors on the Zip’s Pub deck. Registration begins at 9am on Zip’s deck and runs until 11:30am. The event begins at 12pm. Registration is limited to 100 participants, participation is free with a lift ticket or season pass.

Recurring spring events include Cranpalooza Saturday, March 11 and live music in Zip’s on each Wednesday and Saturday. For details on all upcoming events, visit Cranmore.com.
