Cranmore Celebrates Christmas Vacation Week with Fun and Festivity

Cranmore Mountain is the place to be this Christmas Vacation week. With a jam-packed events schedule and extended hours, the resort has families covered for celebrations all week long.

Music, games and s’mores will take place December 27th through December 30th from 3pm to 4:30pm in Schneider Square. There will be a family activity on the third floor of the main base lodge, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm on the same days.

On December 27th, Cranmore passholders can get first tracks with President and General Manager, Ben Wilcox and local Olympian, Leanne Smith. Passholders can meet Ben and Leanne at the Skimobile Express Quad at 7:45am. First tracks will be followed by coffee and cinnamon rolls at the summit Meister Hut.

Guests can ring in 2017 with C-more the Penguin at a special New Year’s edition of Cranapalooza. Geared for guests and families of all ages, the festivities begin at 2pm in Schneider Square. The celebration will feature a DJ, fire dancer, s’mores, family games and activities throughout the afternoon, plus fireworks at 6:30pm at the base of the South Slope.

Also on December 31st, guests can join a team of Cranmore Ambassadors for a Guided Mountain Tour. Tours are designed to give guests a behind the scenes look at the mountain. Guided tours are complimentary with a valid lift ticket or season pass, and meet at the base of the Skimobile Express Quad at 10:30am.

Throughout vacation week, guests can join Cranmore President & GM, Ben Wilcox for informational tours about the mountain’s Kearsarge Brook Condominium project. Tours will be offered Tuesday, December 27th through Sunday, January 1st at 3:30pm. Guests can meet at the Kearsarge Brook sales office, located next to the ticket office. The sales office will also be open daily.

All of vacation week, from December 26th through January 1st, there will be après music in Zip’s Pub and Grille, featuring some of the Valley’s favorite musicians. Performers include Bill Cameron, Ben Cook, Mitch Alden and more.

Cranmore’s Tubing and Mountain Adventure Park activities will offer extended hours for the holiday period. Activities will run December 26th through January 1st from 9am-9pm and January 2nd from 9am-4pm.

Ski area operations during the holiday week, December 26th to January 1st, are from 8:30am-6pm and from 8:30am to 4pm on January 2nd. Extended hours of skiing or riding are included at no extra cost to all full day lift tickets during the vacation period.
