Bow, NH: The New Hampshire Maple Producers Association (NHMPA) is proud to host New Hampshire’s Maple Sugaring Month from March 11-April 2, 2017 and the 22nd Annual Maple Weekend on March 25–26, 2017.

Sugar houses across New Hampshire welcome the public to come experience the proud tradition that is New Hampshire maple sugaring. On weekends throughout the month, our sugar makers are opening their doors, with many offering free tours, samples and family-friendly activities. A map of the full list of participating sugar houses is available on the NHMPA website at http://www.nhmapleproducers.com/directory/categories/maple-month-2017.

Maple Month offers visitors a connection to the farms and families making their delicious maple syrup and a close look into how that syrup is made. Since maple sugaring is a centuries-old tradition, the craft of gathering sap in buckets and boiling sap over a wood fire has evolved over the generations. Today, many New Hampshire maple sugaring families use modern maple technology, such as tubing systems and reverse osmosis, to produce syrup. During Maple Month and Maple Weekend, visitors can experience how maple syrup is made, from the tap to the table, through demonstrations on tree tapping, sap gathering and boiling.
