Support Literacy While Grocery Shopping!
Believe in Books Literacy Foundation is proud to announce that they will be Littleton Food Co-op’s Partner of the Month for the whole month May!
INTERVALE, NH – The Littleton Food Co-op, located at the corner of Cottage Street and Route 302 in Littleton, NH, sponsors a different local non-profit each month of the year through their “Partner of the Month” Program. Partners are chosen by people like you – during the Co-op’s annual Partner of the Month Fair, Co-op shoppers and member-owners vote for their favorites. Believe in Books Literacy Foundation (BIBLF) was lucky enough to be chosen for the month of May.
Throughout the month of May, customers, visitors, and members of the Littleton Food Co-op have the opportunity to learn all about BIBLF’s literacy programs as well as donate towards the BIBLF Bookmobile. The BIBLF Bookmobile travels throughout many communities in Northern New Hampshire each summer and distributes gently-used books for all ages. From baby board books and children books, to children chapter books, and adult books, the Bookmobile has something for everyone. The BIBLF Bookmobile is currently scheduling weekly visits in ten different towns over the course of nine weeks starting on June 17th through August 16th.
The BIBLF Bookmobile will be at the Littleton Food Co-op every Friday evening during the month of May to excite community members about the potential for additional visits to the area. At the Bookmobile, visitors can pick up a book or two, donate gently-used books, and also sample the Co-op’s pizza special for that evening. $1 of every pizza sold on Friday evenings will be donated to BIBLF’s Bookmobile along with any “round-up” donations that occur at registers during check-out throughout the month.
The mission of the BIBLF is to advance healthy development of young minds through literacy programs that encourage early reading, imagination, and physical activity. The Literacy Foundation is a Charitable 501(c)(3) Non-Profit guided by the needs and involvement of the communities of which it serves.
