Believe in Books is Live Streaming Literacy

To continue their mission, Believe in Books Literacy Foundation is finding new avenues to promote early reading, imagination, and physical activity.

INTERVALE, NH – Believe in Books Literacy Foundation is not allowing the global pandemic to stop them from promoting the importance of literacy and outside physical activity which is something extremely fundamental in this concerning time. The world has changed and there is a new normal. The new normal for Believe in Books Literacy Foundation will include the use of live streaming daily readings and giving free access to the 100-Acre Wood Trail System.

Daily live streaming via Facebook Live of storybook adventures will be based on the BIBLF Outreach Program, “Where Can a Book Take You?” There will be a reading each day, Monday through Friday, at 9:30 am featuring a different story read by a BIBLF staff member. BIBLF encourages parents and children to cuddle up and enjoy a live reading of some of the most wonderful children’s stories each morning. BIBLF is hoping this will help families to find a calming routine during this uncertain time.

To continue to promote getting outdoors along with literacy initiatives, BIBLF is offering free use of the 100-Acre Wood Trail System which currently features two Storybook Trails. The Storybook Trail which can be accessed via the Theater in the Wood parking lot will have stories being changed twice a week. The Sugaring Storybook Trail teaches families about the maple sugaring process while being able to check out actual sap buckets on the trail next to the 100-Acre Wood Sugar Shack.

The mission of the BIBLF is to advance healthy development of young minds through literacy programs that encourage early reading, imagination, and physical activity. The Literacy Foundation is a Charitable 501(c)(3) Non-Profit guided by the needs and involvement of the communities of which it serves.
