Greetings from snowy Mt Washington Valley, NH,

We netted anywhere from 8” to 18” over the past week of snowfall in Mt Washington Valley, NH. Thanks to the groundhog (at least in our region) for another six weeks of winter. We’re poised for a fabulous February of skiing and riding with primo conditions throughout the 13 ski resorts and XC Centers in Mt Washington Valley. With more snowfall predicted in the coming week, this will be the time to plan some vacation time and get outside on the trails. The new snowfall means ropes are dropping and open terrain is expanding, especially in the gladed areas. Backcountry skiers, snowmobilers and those who love tubing and fatbiking will find beautiful conditions too. See you soon in Mt Washington Valley, NH!

ALPINE SKI RESORTS – SNOW REPORT FOR THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2021

Attitash – Offering continued expanded terrain with 44 trails (mostly all groomed) accessed by 4 lifts. 28” average depth. 4” of new snowfall in the past 48 hours, 8” in the past 72 hours and 12” new snowfall in the past 7 days. 41” snowfall this season. Ropes dropping for expanded terrain as snowfall occurs.

Black Mountain – Open terrain more than doubled with the last storm with 38 trails open, 20 groomed served by 4 lifts. Ungroomed trails left natural, so beware of rocks & thin spots. 15”-24” base depth. 12” of new snow in the last 48 hours.

Bretton Woods – Now 98% open with 62 groomed trails and 27 glades for 451 skiable acres. 5 lifts open today, including the new gondola. Base depths: 18-36”. 1” new snow in the past 24 hours, 4” new snow in the past 48 hours and 6-9” reported in the last 7 days. 78” natural snowfall to date this season.

Cranmore – Open with expanded terrain and 35 trails (all groomed) and 3 glades, 110 acres of skiable terrain including 2 terrain parks. 3 lifts spinning today. Base depth: 17” – 21”. 8”to 9” of snowfall in the past 7 days. Season total snowfall: 30”. Tubing park open on weekends and throughout holiday periods.

King Pine – Now 100% open with 17 trails, all groomed overnight & 1 terrain park served by 5 lifts. Explore the backside tree skiing areas for ungroomed terrain (some hidden hazards require caution). Base depths: 18”-30”. 3” of new snow reported in the past 48 hours, 13” in the last 3 days. Season total snowfall: 35”. The Tohko Dome Ice Skating rink is now open daily. Tubing Park is open Fridays 3-6 p.m. and Weekends/Holiday Periods 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Shawnee Peak – Ropes dropping on many natural trails. Open with 34 trails (67% groomed) & 1 terrain park, served by 4 lifts. Average base depth: 20” -34”. 12” of new snow in the past 3 days, 18” in the past 7 days. Mon-Thurs, mountain opens at 11am. Fri at 9am & Sat-Sunday at 8:30am.

Wildcat – Open with expanded terrain on 95% of skiable terrain with more opening soon, skiing and riding on 46 trails today, with 3 lifts operating and access for all ability levels. 36” average base depth. 9” of new snow in the past 48 hours, 17” snowfall in the past 7 days for 77” of snowfall this season.

XC CENTERS – TRAIL CONDITIONS FOR THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2021

Bear Notch Ski Touring – Expanded open terrain on 17 trails (40 km) open. 12”-16” base. Entire network recently groomed. 12” of new snowfall in the past 72 hours offered the chance to greatly expand terrain. Trail network is open for Season Pass Holders, plus, an additional 50- day pass holders (by reservation only).

Bretton Woods Nordic Center –38 trails (68 km) open today, 36 trails/64 km skate groomed and 29 trails/55 km track set. Base depth 4”-8”. 1” new snow in the past 24 hours and 6”-9” reported in the last 7 days. 78” natural snowfall to date this season. Tubing hill open weekends.

Great Glen Trails Open with 45 km trails open, with 15km tracked and 18km skate groomed. 45km of snowshoe trails open. Take some laps around the newly opened skate lanes. Average depth nearly doubled over past 7 days with 14”- 24”. 15” of snowfall in the past 7 days. 62.5” of snowfall to date. Snowcoach tours are operating, fat biking trails open, tubing hill open.

Jackson Ski Touring Foundation – Open with 97km open 60km groomed and 50km track set. Total of 35K groomed for today; 65+ in the past 2 days. Base depth: 4”-10” with 14” of new snow in the past 7 days

Purity Spring XC and Snowshoe Preserve – 15 km groomed trails, 20 km snowshoe trails, additional grooming today. Base depths: 2” to 6”. 3” of new snow in the past 48 hours and 13” in the past 3 days have translated to a decent natural base & primo conditions.

Mt Washington Valley Ski Touring & Snowshoe Foundation – Open terrain has tripled after the recent storm with 40KM open in Whitaker Woods & Intervale networks. 40km single tracked and 40km skate groomed. 45 km snowshoe trails open. 2km of fat bike trails available in Whitaker Woods. Base depth: 5”-8”. 10” of new snow in the past 48 hours.
