12″ to 25″ of snowfall in Mt Washington Valley over the past week!

We’ve measured more than 25” of snowfall in the past week in Mt Washington Valley!

Yesterday’s storm delivered anywhere from 9” to 12” of new snowfall in Mt Washington Valley. But it was the snowfall we got earlier in the week – which was rain in Southern parts of New England – that really put the icing on the cake! We’ve been in the sweet spot for snow over the past week with as much as 25” measured, and there’s more coming! That means that conditions are well-poised for a phenomenal weekend, Valentine’s Day and February vacation week! Won’t you help us tell skiers and riders how great the conditions are?! Here are the conditions on February 8, 2018. Click on the links to each ski resort and XC Center for the most up-to-date conditions when you need them.

Attitash -61 trails, 44 groomed runs, 240 acres skiable terrain. 7 lifts. Base depth: 12"-24. 9" of new snow in the past 24 hours; 16" of snowfall in the past 7 days. 71" of snow this season. Slopestyle competition on Sat. Live entertainment in at Bear Peak & Ptarmigan Pub. On Valentine’s Day (2/14) 2 lift tickets for $59.

Black Mountain – 39 trails,19 groomed runs. 2 lifts, more running this weekend. Base depths: 12"-36". 10" of snowfall in the past 48 hours. Find live entertainment in Lostbo Pub nightly Friday-Sunday, Single skiers – don’t miss Chairlift Speed Dating on Sat, Feb 10th. Plus, Last Tracks with Moat on Sat too.

Bretton Woods – 100% open with 97 trails (incl. 35 glades), 464 skiable acres.8 lifts. Base depth: 30"-40". 6"-9" of snowfall in the past 24 hours & it’s still snowing, 19"-25" of snowfall in the past 7 days! 125" of snowfall this season. Enjoy both adult and kids’ Apres Ski Parties after a day of great skiing, Online flash ticket sale extended to 2/14.

Cranmore– 47 trails, 34 groomed ,145 skiable acres. 4 lifts. Base: 24"-32". 10" of new snowfall in the past 24 hours & 12" in the past 7 days. Tubing & Mountain Adventure Park open starting Friday, 4pm and open this weekend.80th Anniv. ticket pricing all weekend.Cranapalooza on Saturday, plus live music in Zips Pub. Join Kiss 108 in the base area on Sat with games, prizes & music.

King Pine – 100% open. 17 trails, 94% groomed. 1 Terrain park open with 9 features. 50 skiable acres, 5 lifts. Base depth: 12"-30". 10" of new snow in the past 24 hours; 14" in the past 7 days. 62" of snow this season. The tubing park and skating rink are both open for regular hours. Torchlight Tubing on Friday, and Sweetheart Race on Saturday.

Shawnee Peak -33 trails open (27 groomed), 3 terrain parks open.4 lifts. Base depth: 24"-34". 13" of new snow in the past 24 hours; 20" of snowfall in the past 7 days. Buzzology live in Blizzard’s Pub and Movie Night for the kids. Anticipating 40 trails open for the weekend.

Wildcat 36 trails (19 groomed) and 194 skiable terrain. 4 lifts operating. Base depths: 20"-40". 13" of new snow in the past 24 hours, 27" of new snow in the past 7 days!. 101" of snowfall this season. Catch live entertainment from 1:00-4:00pm in the pub on Friday and Saturday. Don’t forget Valentine’s Day, 2 lift tix for $59.00.

Mt Washington Valley’s XC and Snowshoe Centers

Bear Notch Ski Touring – 35km trails open, 35km classic, 35km skating. Base depths: 19"-28". 12" of new snowfall in the past 24 hours; 20" in the past 6 days.

Bretton Woods Nordic Center– 38 trails (66km) open. 28 trails track set (52km), 33 trails skate groomed (58km). Base depth: 5" – 10". 6"-9" new snow in the past 24 hours, 25" of new snow in the past 7 days. Tubing, skating and fat bikes from The Stone Pillar. 5+ km of fat biking and dog walking trails from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm and tubing & skating from 10:00am – 5:00pm .Bretton Woods Nordic Marathon on Feb 10, 44th Mt Washington Cup, Feb 11.

Great Glen Trails– 42km open; 17km tracked, 22km skate groomed.Snowshoe trails: 42km. Average base depth: 7"-14". 10" new snow in the past 24 hours, 23" in the past 7 days. Season snowfall total:93". Tubing hill open. Snowcoach Tours scheduled, but weather dependent. Call ahead to inquire about fat biking.

Jackson Ski Touring Foundation – 51 trails/129km open, 35 trails track set, 39 trails skate groomed. 11 back country trails open.18 snowshoe trails open. Base depth: 10"-24". 11" of snowfall in the past 48 hours; 17" in the past 5 days. Snowfall season to date: 61". Fisher Demo Day on Sat, plus free lecture on immune health at 5:00 on Sat.

Purity Spring XC and Snowshoe Preserve – Open! 20 trails open, 20 trails skate groomed. 10" of new snow in the past 24 hours, 14" of snowfall in the past 7 days. Well-behaved dogs (on leash when bypassing others) are welcome midweek.

Mt Washington Valley Ski Touring & Snowshoe Foundation – 12km open in Whitaker Woods and trails north. , 12km skate groomed. 45km snowshoe trails. 2km fat biking trails on designated trails. Base depths: 8"-10". 8" of new snow in the past 48 hours, 13" in the past 6 days. Guided Snowshoe Walk every Saturday at 1:00 pm. Note: The Whitaker Woods Snowshoe Scramble originally scheduled on January 13th was rescheduled for Sat, Feb 17, 2018. Mark the calendar for the 29th Annual Chocolate Festival, Sun, Feb 25th.

    Well it is February, the snowiest month as a rule. Lovely to look at and listen to the quiet in the pines. Nice.
