100-Acre Challenge Obstacle Adventure Race is September 28th!

Getting Ready for the 100-Acre Challenge

The North Country’s premier annual obstacle adventure is set for Saturday, September 28th! Participants are encouraged to fundraise to support BIBLF’s Outreach Reading Program!

INTERVALE, NH – Anybody who has been in the 100-Acre Wood in Intervale, NH knows it is quite a magical and beautiful trail system to walk, hike, or bike in the fall. However, this month it will be turning into a crazy obstacle adventure course for participants of the 7th annual 100-Acre Challenge!

This annual fundraiser will take place on Saturday, September 28th with registration beginning at 9:00 am behind the Theater in the Wood. Participants are encouraged to fundraise for their registration fees and more to support the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation’s Outreach Reading Program. All net proceeds of this event will be contributed to the cost of getting more books into the hands, homes, and hearts of children throughout the North Country of New Hampshire.

The fun begins with the Children’s Mini-Acre Challenge that will start at 9:30 am. The 5K full course heats will begin at 10:00 am, with heats leaving every 12 minutes with drums and bagpipes from The American Rogues to start things off. Individuals, teams of 2, 3, or 4 are encouraged to participate! There are prizes for the top competitors in each division along with the top fundraisers above and beyond the registration fees! Along with the adventure, there will be food trucks including Dueling Chefs Smoke-n-Grille, The Purple Straw, and Trail’s End, and alcoholic beverages available from Amoskeag with a donation. There will be a number of children’s activities including a craft station provided by Home Depot! Participants and spectators will also enjoy live music during the event provided by Valley favorite, Shark Martin! Saturday evening, The American Rogues will perform for the final Sunset Concert Series at the Theater in the Wood. It’s going to be an amazing Saturday in the 100-Acre Wood!
